Incubator marked a change for our company
Our incubation period at Tontine marked a major change for our company, and a large part of that was because the Scottish Space Incubator was managed by an organisation that truly understood the sector we operated in. SoXSA’s continuing support and pro-active approach has led us into new markets and introduced us to new clients, and we value that help enormously.
The business support offered through the programme has been great, and has forced us to think about the company and our future plans in detail.
Fantastic first step
The UKSA incubation space at the Tontine has been a fantastic first step by providing both a base to establish our business and entrepreneurial training. In our first year, the company has doubled in employee headcount and has since secured a near 200% increase in turnover for year two providing us with significant opportunities for sustainable further growth.
Path to success
To date the accelerator has been a great basis from which to build a business, there are some great personalities, ideas and companies in the program which stimulates and inspires me to emulate those that have gone before me. Where as I am only a few weeks into accelerator I am trying to soak as much as I can to try set my company on the path to success.
Incubator essential for company growth
The Incubator Programme was essential for Trade in Space in helping us to maintain a stable presence and a platform to build on. Being members fast-tracked us into the right discussions with support agencies in Scotland, and helped us to find staff and people to work on projects from the local universities. The practical help and advice that comes from the programmes leaders is also invaluable, and saves a lot of time, money, and effort which is especially important for a very early stage start up.
